Your brain can’t tell the difference between a vividly imagined event and a real one. Visualization builds mental “reps” that make success feel familiar and inevitable.
Step-by-Step
- Decide on a goal or situation.
- Close your eyes and see it in rich detail.
- Engage all senses—sight, sound, touch, even smell.
- Feel the emotions of already having achieved it. Be grateful for already having it.
- Hold the scene and emotions for 3–5 minutes.
